Al-Muhibbah Foundation carried out a sensitization workshop at the State Lowcost Sickle Cell Clinic for parents of children with Sickle Cell Anemia.
The Foundation also donated drugs and Sickle cell testing kits (A qualitative test to aid in the diagnosis of Sickle cell from birth to age 5).
The workshop focus on the need for testing partners before marriage.
The program director, Hajiya Ladi also took time out to talk to them about Covid-19 and measures to take to prevent it, she also told them sickle cell patients are high risk and their parents should please endeavor to wash their hands at least five times a day, practice social distancing and sanitize their hands frequently.
Al Muhibbah Foundation also attended a sensitization lecture on Covid-19 at Gwallaga Juma’at Mosque. The Lecture was organized by Bauchi State Task Force On Covid-19 (Risk Communication Sub-Committee) Hajia Aisha Lami Bala Muhammad First Lady Bauchi State who was represented by Hajia Ladi Ibrahim Thomas assured them of her foundation’s and Office support and thanked them for sensitizing the community. Hajia Aisha Lami Bala Muhammad also donated hand sanitizers and soaps to be used in the masjid.
